Defend the Þrymming-Stone

Thought experiment . It·s 1975 . The Internet , and a global compendium of knowledge , is a pipe dream . Somewhere around the Vietnam War , some U.S. planes get shot down over the Polynesian Islands .

The Polynesians , they find these corpses of metal angels from the sky , who fly over in terrible rackets that scare the goats and upset the fish . The pilot ejected in time , leaving the fallen bird crashed tail-up in the beachhead .

Fifty years later , the Metal Angel is still there . Grandparents have come and gone , wreaths have been laid on her , and maypole dances around her . The locals tell stories of the old war , where battle angels roared , not like these jet-birds yu see today .

There are multiple armies worldwide that incorporate things like local myths, or alt histories, or secret societies . How can we decorate our machines so that they will inspire myths , as a crop of camouflage which our daughters and sons will reap .

Combat Theaters are called Theaters for a reason , and if yu·ve ever seen that one scene from Apocalypse Now , yu know that Metal Battle Angels like to ride into battle guns blazing , singing our songs of mercy and wrath , just like any other God-fearing American .

Can we fit an mp3 player in there? . Put it on a separate long-state battery and make the interface unusually intuitive .
