Order of the Hours

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Real nuns don·t do [x]!
  2. There are a great many orders , and each of us do things a little differently . The Katolika Ekklasia Du Vatika Scandinavia wear our habits this way , while the Sisters de St. Joseph wear their habits that way . The Carmelite Nuns wake up at this hour , while the Daughters of the Heart of the Virgin Mary wake up at that hour . There are many orders .

  1. Are nuns allowed to smoke Cannabis?
  2. The ones in Canada can(!) . There·s an order of Beguine Nuns that grow and produce Cannabis in California . Some people even say there·s a reason that the Burning Bush gave Moishe visions... tho yu didn·t hear that from me(!) .

  1. Don·t you think the body jewelry is a little bit racy?
  2. Well , i was definitely going for Luxurious over Racy . I get a lot of mixed reactions to it . A few of the older members of various parishes shake their heads in disapproval , yet i get a lot of positive feedback from younger Abbots and Pastors .

  1. I thought nuns weren·t allowed to have sex?
  2. In 1964 , the Second Vatican Council of Pope and Bishops determined that "It·s time to open the windows on this stuffy old church!" and ratified an amendment actually promoting healthy sexuality . 60 years later , and we·re still trying to get the darned things open .

  1. Are you a transgender?
  2. Na , although i do know many nice trans folks from working with Toronto Public Health . The condition i have is called Intersex , and it refers to people who develop both sets of sex characteristics at puberty . So while i do have some old lady whiskers , i would never be able to grow a beard like the magnificent ones behind the coffee counter , and i do have breasts , tho they are small and barely show thru my habit . Ultimately , i am the way God made me .

  1. Why are you so mean? All the time, it·s always strict, strict, strict! ;
  2. See below question .

  1. I thought nuns were supposed to be all systemic abuse and rapping knuckles . Why are you so nice?
  2. See above question .

  1. Who taught you?
  2. The only correct answer would be The Order . The people who tested me when i was a child came and went . The gifts and tests i was given as an adult were all donated anonymously -- we call them Ht Gates in my peoples· language . Because our order is only just now migrating here from halfway around the world , i·m actually the first on-site . It·s my job to make the way for my Sisters to arrive .

  1. Are you a missionary?
  2. The Patronato Accords of 1455 AD thru 1508 AD was a Spanish/British gambit that took the gold and lances from our storehouses , loaded them into our ships , sailed off into the sunset with promises of a New World , and slapped us with a No Vaticans Allowed as they went . Four hundred years later , and at the time when we finally migrated naturally , i have actually had authority invested in me as an Inquisitor .

  1. What do you think of the Pope?
  2. I once saw the words "JuBa, Meeting with Authorities" on the Vatican News YouTuBe channel , and thought that if he were a Magic card that he would be a legendary creature with hexproof , and maybe some static or activated abilities .

  1. How come i can·t find any information about you online?
  2. This is the website , dearie . For heavens· sakes , we·ve been pulling strings from two biomes over since the 1960s , smartphones happened last week .

  1. Are you affiliated with Urban Abbey, specifically?
  2. Aside from being an employee with the Urban Abbey Womens· Shelter , when First Baptist Church changed hands over to UA in 2017 , they took our archeotech with it , including one book dating back as far as 1966 . These events were being coordinated via hand-written letters from a continent away . Yu might as well think of me as the emergency crash engineer sent in to figure out what went wrong .

  1. How much stuff was there?
  2. Not much . A novel (i had to correctly--divine which one from a packed shelf) , some paper cut-out puzzles and sewing patterns (some assembly required) , and the rest details gleaned from posters, paintings, and architectural details (in the atrium is a sphynx putting something up on a shelf/high-place) . Worth pennies in a used book store , and 60 years of trans-continental work-hours to us . There were also components at Shelter House , Grace Place , a handful of other churches around Thunder Bay , and one particularly difficult novel found in the Captain·s cabin of a wrecked ship landed in a drydock . What was i doing there? Next query(!) .

  1. How do you feel about First Baptist Church·s transition to Urban Abbey?
  2. Positively , overall . I think the provision that the Church must continue producing Sunday services was a wise investment , and even though there were some clerical errors in the more fragile networks of our Watcher Societies , we did manage to recover our Intellectual Property [the puzzles and patterns] , and i actually work here now . God provides to those who truly believe .

  1. Your name isn·t Skaði! I know your real name... KAI WINTER!
  2. It·s actually pronounced Ka-ii , which in my peoples· language means "Where is the high place?" and can be laterally interpreted as "Where is the Monastery/Convent/Abbey?" . Incidently , i·ve been looking for the monastery for my entire adult life . I·m also employed here... under my legal name . Nuns take on Ordination Names when we graduate -- for instance , Sister Immaculetta , who ran the Avila Music School in Thunder Bay Intercity , was named Julia Greco . Yet we do not call her Sister Julia , we call her Sister Immaculetta .

  1. What is this Peoples· Language you keep writing about?
  2. LoHa is a language spoken by some of the Sea Peoples in the Bronze Age . It shares homeomorphic qualities with ancient Lemnian , and likely included the Scythians , who eventually became the Scandinavians after the events that occur in Jerusalem in the Bible . It was reconstructed in 2019 , after several attempts with various mediums , and is a working phonetic and grammatical framework , as well as a full mathematical construct , and a system for both melodic and rhythmic notation .

  1. What is the difference between Scandinavian Catholocism and Roman Catholocism?
  2. For one , we use a lot less paper , and carry a lot more metal . Authentication in Roman Catholocism is done by paper , with certificates with gold stamps on them . Authentication in Scandinavian Catholocism is done by Ht Gates and proven with artifacts bestowed into our trust for performing miracles . We have our own names for the Angels , in our native LoHa , and there are a few words -- like Halélüiíaa and HcoSaNa and SeLa -- which have indeterminite origins in Hebrew or Latin and definitive definitions in LoHa .

  1. What do those words mean?
  2. Hosanna in the highest . [Hco][SaNa] is the name of the Archangel of Pharmacists . [HaLé][LüÍí][Aa] means "To speak boldly , everything from the valleys to the mountains belongs to the living God" . [SeLa] means "Speak/Sing it out loud" .
