When we arrived in 2021_September in Canada_ThunderBay , we discovered a trail deliberately left by our Order .

The trail led to a puzzle that spanned multiple locations and was excruciatingly difficult to solve . Many of the ciphers were written in LoHa , a long-extinct and forgotten language .

Given that half of the puzzle was encoded into a homeless shelter lunch room , and the other half at the Abbey , it·s clear that it was designed for sojurners in the Catholic tradition .

The Shelter·s final cipher yeilded eight Animal Totems . The Abbey·s final cipher yeilded eight Liturgical Hours .

Here we have preserved and arranged the results of the completed puzzle .

Animal Totem: Loon ;
Life grows across the forest floor , an entire universe of slime molds and microbes that go unheard by animals . Loon screams wildly into the starry night , accompanied in her lake by Frog and Dragonfly .

Animal Totem: Turtle ;
To dream of other ponds . Turtle is barely audible amidst the other animals , the only evidence a quiet trail of bubbles . Night gets cold and wet in the latest hours before dawn . Part of the Liturgical Hours was missing , so i borrowed a phrase from the local natives .

Animal Totem: Eagle ;
The hour before wake-up at 0700h is an enchanting time . Morning choir under the nuns· strict switches can be a stressful affair . All must say our prayers , for we are all under the watchful eye of the Lord . When we leave the front doors , Eagle flies in circles above Crow and Gull and Dove .

Animal Totem: Bear ;
Sunny skies and warm weather are Bear·s ideal environment . Plenty of space to catch Fish in the river and honey from Bee . Cicedas crirp in the sun-dappled beams that break thru the trees , and birds of all sorts scream into the open air . Don·t let yr guard down . Many of God·s creatures hunt in the open day .

Animal Totem: Crow ; A chill wind blows across the tidal basin as Crow caws loudly into the open sky . As life grows , it evolves technologies , clothing and tambourines and stereos . Clever Crow is the hacker of the bird kingdom , and her disciples are the bartenders and DJs and tattoo artists who bring the bass . Crow not shiny somehow shiny .

Animal Totem: Moose ;
Long-striding Moose is conspicuously absent from her own Liturgical Hour , as she travels on long jouneys . Her and her family travel thru six-foot snow banks and dense blossoming thicket alike , with Young Moose always shouting "Daaad! Daaaaaad!" from the back seat of the station wagon .

Animal Totem: Owl ;
Snow-plumed Owl screeches into the twilight at the Hour of Nocturnes . Owl packs up the equipment Crow unpacks each day , and Crow thanks her . Animals of every sort add their bellows to the Song of Life . In the atrium of Shelter House , people take respite from harsh Nature beneath a Blueprint made of Cotton denim .

Animal Totem: Wolf ;
Wolf howls in the distance as the chill of night begins to set in . At Urban Abbey , the girls have their tea and cookies as things wind down . An icy wind blows outside . It gets lonely at night on Thunder Mountain . At quarter-to-2300h is last call for smokes , and at 2300h it·s lights out . Goodnight everybody .
