Circa 400 BC , after Isaiah and Jeremiah , The LORD petitioned Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon to collect the Ark of the Covenant from the Temple of Solomon , where the descendants of Israel and Judah did more evil in the sight of The LORD than good .
The LORD commanded the tribes to disperse , to leave Jerusalem and never return , except for the farmers and the tenders who lived for the land , and not the cult .
These stories are the stories of the lands we travelled to and the perils that we faced .
It would be a thousand years before we reached the hinterlands ,
and another thousand to get to where we are here to-day .
