The Nekfascmancy Suite
Nekfascmancy (Nek·Fasc·Mancy) is a magical arts style i developed during the time i was in the hospital with Necrotizing Fasciitis . After a renegade science experiment gone horribly awry , i contracted Necrosis in my chest . It killed me in 12 days .
The doctors· interventions were necessarily brutal . While my soul was smothered in a blanket of opiod-induced anaesthesia , held along by a silver thread , the doctors cut two long lines beneath my breasts and scooped gelatinous white tissue from my chest . They had to lock down the OR to contain the smell of death .
The disease was brutal , and the surgery was brutal . Life Support had me wired into the wall with electrodes and hoses , for 12 days i was a cyborg . Once , i breathed thru gills in the sides of my ribcage when the tubes were removed . It was an intoxicating and altogether disturbing experience . That·s the vibe .
The hospital taught me things , and the nurses taught me things .
During my last week at the first hospital i stayed overnight at , a view of gothic cathedrals and old brick tenements , and old dottering Cyrillic nurses , taught me what my heart desired .
