When we returned to the pipe organ cavern , it was frozen over . Cold wind blew thru the screaming caves , turning water vapor to frost , shearing it off into snow , a snow that freezes stone and sticks to every sign of life .

01m25s__TheUnderWorld
On our way here , we encountered the most possibly unpleasant circumstances .

It had seemed worth screaming twice at the time .

02m51s__TheUnderWorld
Well , waste not want not . The bridge between the two relay points was gone , so we did what HaHas and NaHas do best , we busted out the ropes and pinons and scaled that sucker . As we descended into the Ninth Circle of Hell , the sound of the atmosphere changed all around us as sprawling reverberation trails gave way to the insular flutter echo of the massive cliff walls .

We sing to the frozen lake , and catch the tail of our own tune as the sounds come forth from our mouths . We scream to the wind , and the wind screams to us . We sing a song from the future , dreamt of in the far future , and yet it comes from our bodies . There is no way we could have known .

And then back up the other side . Click, clack, ting, pak . The wind on our fur-lined faces turns any exposed cheeks or wrists cherry red like a lickin· from the Lord . We grin to each other with cameraderie as we pound stakes into sheer plummets , saving our breath for the difficult climb .

05m41s__TheUnderWorld
Screaming with jubilation , we reach the Eighth Circle with all of us intact . A feat once deemed impossible . We sing the Loon-call screech of our Battle Maiden songs , recite the Victory Song of the Archangel Nekfascmancy·s ascension into Safarexi .

08m31s__TheUnderWorld
Great , let·s see how it·s going down there . We break out the pickaxes again(!) . The descent is the easy part , rapelling down with each fresh pinon . It·s so easy to fall , and so difficult to climb back up . By checking in with our cables and each other , we make it back down with all of our gear intact , minus a few crates of rope and steel .

Having recorded such a simple tune , what music is all this Ka? . The screaming sounds of ghosts echo across the lake of ice , singing songs that never were , and yet they·re here . Somehow , the tune that we wrote fits perfectly within the Song of All Things , like a key fitting into a well-constructed lock .

And then it·s back up the other side . We·re sweating like hockey goalies , there·s snot dripping down our noses , what , are yu gonna take the oxygen tank off Ka? . Our muscles are burning . Some of us nearly fall the wrong way . Well , mountain climbing is like sewing . Once yu start there·s just nuthun to do ·cept finish it . Sew flipping hwat .

Then we sing hymns .

The Hour of Death .

On to Part III...
